Roman Artisan Mill
Raw Whole Wheat Flour
Whole Grain
Our signature stone-ground whole wheat — nutty, hearty, and full of the whole berry. Made with love.
Fresh-ground heritage and whole grains, milled in small batches and bagged within days of the stone — the way flour was meant to taste.
Roman Artisan Mill takes its name from the oldest idea in baking: that the best flour comes from whole grain, ground slowly between two stones — the way the Romans did it two thousand years ago.
We mill the whole grain on slow-turning stones, then bag it fresh — so the germ, the bran, and all the flavor stay exactly where they belong.
Slow stones keep the germ and bran intact — for flour with real aroma, color, and nutrition.
We source identity-preserved wheat and ancient grains from farms across Northern California.
Ground to order and bagged within days, so what reaches your kitchen is genuinely fresh.
No bleach, no bromate, no enrichments to fake what fresh flour already has. Just grain.

— Made with love in Sonoma County
Our storyIndustrial roller mills strip away the germ and bran — the most flavorful, most nutritious parts of the grain. We do the opposite: our stones grind the entire berry at low heat, keeping the natural oils, the wheat germ, and the whole-grain character intact. It’s flour that’s actually alive.
